Dr. Zhaoyin Wen, a full professor of the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SICCAS), and a Distinguished Professor of ShanghaiTech University. Now he serves as the director of the Energy Materials Research Center of SICCAS. He obtained Bachelor degree and PhD degree respectively from Nanjing University of Technology in 1984 and SICCAS in 1989 respectively and engaged in postdoctoral research at the Mie University Japan during 1999-2001. He was elected as the president of the Asian Society for Solid State Ionics as well as the president of the Solid State Ionics Branch of Chinese Ceramics Society. His recent research interests include solid electrolytes, advanced secondary batteries. He has so far published more than 430 research papers in refereed journals with more than 18000 citations with an h-index of 76. He applied for more than 160 patents, over 100 of which have been licensed. His achievements on high capacity sodium sulfur battery ranked in the top 10 Scientific and Technological Developments of China in 2010. He has transferred two sets of technologies of solid electrolyte based high energy density batteries to enterprises and realized the construction of pilot production lines. He was selected as the member of Asian Pacific Academy of Materials in 2016. He won two first prizes of Shanghai Technical Innovation Award, won the 12th Five-Year National Outstanding Contribution Award for Science and Technology, and was elected as a National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker. His research team won a number of honors from national governmental department, Shanghai municipality and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
